The Advantages of Buying Custom

You may be asking yourself, "Why would I wait for a custom computer to be be built when I can easily walk into Circuit City or Best Buy and just grab one off the shelf?" You would have a valid point. There's something to be said for the convenience of ready-built. But, custom computers have many advantages that make them worth the 3-5 day wait!

First, they are custom built. My computers are not one-size fits all. I carefully determine your system requirements based on what you use the machine for, contact several suppliers for the best deals on parts, and test each machine before it goes out to make sure it passes muster. Dell, Gateway and Toshiba need to make machines that will work ok for the thousands of customers that purchase them. I need to build a computer that will work perfectly for you.

Miller Custom Computers' computers are never loaded with promotional junk like many ready-built computers are. Huge corporations are concerned so much with their bottom line that, even after you've given them your business, they'll still force-feed you advertising and try to get you to purchase even more of their products. Not me. I wouldn't want that stuff on my computer... why would I put it on yours?

My computers are fully upgradable. Large manufacturers purposely build their machines hard to repair and hard to upgrade. Why?  If one part goes bad, or if your needs change and you need a faster processor or more memory, you'll have to go out and buy a whole new computer. That's tough on your pocketbook and tough on the environment. My computers are specifically designed to be an investment, not a disposable item. With proper care and an upgrade every few years as technology improves, my machines will easily last twice as long as the one you'd grab off the shelf at an electronics store.

I deliver and set up your machine for you. I'll make sure everything is working right and, if you're new to computers, even tutor you on how to use a computer! How many big companies will do that?

Custom computers simply cost less. While companies like Apple and Compaq spend literally billions each year on overhead and advertising, I don't. Working on a small scale, within the Rogue Valley, allows me to keep production costs down and pass the savings on to you. A basic desktop computer for the home or office starts at just $450, including delivery and setup within the Rogue Valley. I can also ship* to anywhere in the United States!
